Sara Danielsson is a graphic designer and multidisciplinary artist from Portland, Oregon currently based out of Malmö, Sweden. Her practice encompasses the mediums of visual identity, editorial design, animation and illustration. Combining digital and analogue processes using texture, movement, and experimentation, she produces work that feels contemporary and exciting while retaining a tactile, humanistic quality.

These posters were created as part of the application to Malmö University’s graphic design program, which asked prospective students to design based off the prompt “Movement”. My inspiration came from being a very unathletic child who was forced to look at cheesy encouraging posters tacked to gym walls, all while being yelled at by P.E teachers to move faster. At the time, these posters felt like they were mocking me. After having had multiple unsuccessful operations to correct several congenital physical issues, I have now developed a love and endurance for all the intense exercise I could never do as a kid that I hope is reflected in these posters.
